- I have been taking photographs all my life. At age 10, I borrowed my father's old Pentax camera and headed out to the fields. I took my first photography class a year after under the guidance of a documentary filmmaker, developed my first B&W photo and was hooked. I have never stopped "thinking in frames" since. I pursued a career in science that trained me to be thorough, precise, patient. But photography remained my passion and I am only truly happy when behind the camera.

{ Born in The Year of the Tiger } Newborn Photo Session

What a cutie-pie this little girl is! Her mom and I had made plans to take maternity pictures first but she just would not wait! I got a phonecall from the hospital just before our scheduled session and, well, we will be taking baby pictures instead! And so we did, right around the time she was supposed to be born. I did not quite know what to expect but it was my kind of surprise ;-) Turned out baby "A" seemed just like a newborn when she was asleep. But when awake, she was curious, active and engaged, not only as a typical 2-month-new baby, but just like a determined little girl born in The Year of the Tiger.
